About

Chuck Allen Floyd
Chuck Allen Floyd has over 30 years’ experience in law and entertainment as an attorney, staff writer, touring performer, publisher, independent record label owner, and producer. His extensive background and network of contacts allow Chuck to provide his clients unique insight and strategic guidance.
Chuck has been involved in virtually every type of deal one can make in the entertainment industry and has come to believe the most important aspect of any deal is clarity. Clarity of purpose. Clarity of expectations. Clarity of terms. Chuck likes to say, "Clarity is the difference between a contract and an agreement."
While Chuck routinely negotiates deals with major entertainment entities, he has a special passion for beginners and start-ups. How do I start my own record label? How do I get my songs in a TV show or movie? How do I protect the name of my band? Chuck remembers wondering those same things and knows how difficult it can be to find practical answers. He loves answering “How do I” questions and helping his clients learn to navigate the confusing and ever-evolving business of entertainment.
Chuck is frequently invited to speak on entertainment law issues at conferences and seminars and performs pro bono work through Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts.
